WATER LANE TQ 74 NW HUNTON (South Side) 4/100 Nos. 1 and 2 Shepherds Cottages II
Farmhouse, now house pair. C17 or earlier. Timber framed. Ground floor chequered red and grey brick, first floor tile-hung. Right gable end weatherboarded. Probably converted to cottages in C18. 2 storeys on brick plinth, possibly with underbuilt jetty to front. Hipped roof. Multiple brick ridge stack towards centre. Irregular fenestration of four 2 and 3-light casements. Boarded door to No. 2 to left of stack, and to No. 1 to right of stack, both up 2 steps. Rear lean-to. Interior not inspected.
