The following text is from the original listed building designation:
MOTE ROAD 1. 5278 (South Side) Nos 64 to 70 (even) TQ 7655 SW 7/330 TQ 75 NE 9/330 8.1.74. II GV
2. Dated 1851, an extension to Hunter's almshouses. 1 storey brown brick with red brick window dressings. Tiled roof with 5 large projecting brick stacks. 2 gables. One on the extreme right and one on the£left which is crow-stepped. Blue brick diaper patterns in tle gables. 1 cambered casement to each and arched doorcases. Underneath the left side gable is a through passage flanked by lancet windows. The arch has stone dripmoulding and corbels.
Nos 52, 56, 58, 62 and 64 to 70 (even) form a group.
