The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LEEDS LOWER STREET TQ 8253 (east side) 8/88 Monument to Richard Saxby of Caring, 2 yards south- east of south chapel of Church of St. Nicholas GV II Monument. Late C18. Stone, on double-stepped stone base. Rectangular monument with moulded plinth and corniced top surmounted by gadrooned and fluted urn with large ball to lid. To Richard Saxby, d. 1794.
