Farmhouse. C15, with C16, C18 and mid C20 alterations. Formerly timber framed. C18 facade of red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Plain tile roof. Open hall of two timber-framed bays. Storeyed ends rebuilt in C18, and that to left extended. 2 storeys and cellar, on stone plinth. Plat band, discontinued to left of left stack. Mid C20 moulded wooden eaves cornice. Roof gabled to left, hipped to right, right hip returning to rear. Four multiple brick stacks with moulded cornices; one in front slope of roof towards left end, one ridge stack to right of centre (to right end of left hall bay), one projecting to right gable end and another projecting to right return wing. Irregular fenestration of 5 sashes in open boxes, four of them bipartite with central mullion; one pair of eight-pane sashes to left of left stack, and one pair of twelve-pane to right, one single twelve-pane sash to left of "central" stack, and two pairs of twleve-pane sashes towards right end. Segmental heads to ground- floor windows. Door of six fielded panels with consoled 1950s shell hood to right end of hall. Rear return wing to right, brick on ground floor, tile-hung above, with three-light horizontally-sliding sash to right side and two-storey polygonal brick bay to rear gable end. Two-storey rear additions to left and centre, partly tile-hung. Interior: four-centred- arched (parlour or staircase?) doorway with moulded jambs and deep hollow spandrels facing into hall opposite present front door. Plain end-of-hall crown posts, each with two foot braces and mortices for head brace. Moulded octagonal central crown post with four head braces. C16 fireplace to right side of "central'" stack with moulded stone jambs and cambered hollow - chamfered bressumer with doubly-recessed hollow spandrels and central rose. Garden wall: red and grey brick in Flemish bond. Slightly more than single-storey height, with buttresses and chamfered brick coping. Runs north from north-west corner of house, curves, then runs about 20 metres west to road.
