The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 5278 (South-East Side) Nos 97A & 98 TQ 7655 NW 2/19 II GV
2. One building, now 2 shops. 2 storeys timber framed with plastered front. The modern ground floor has probably been underbuilt beneath an overhang of the lst floor. 2 gables, the north-west one overhanging on a moulded bressumer and brackets. 3 sashes on lst floor with glazing bars missing. No 98 has 2 sashes without glazing bars and a right side 3 light canted bay with glazing bars intact. Modern shop fronts.
Nos 93 to 95 (consec). 97A and 98 to 100 (consec) form a group.
