The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HARRIETSHAM STEDE HILL TQ 85 SE (west side)
4/57 Nos. 1 & 2 Lower Dean's Farm Cottages GV II House, now house row. Probably late C16 or early C17, altered in C19. Probably timber-framed. Ground floor red brick in Flemish bond in 4 patches, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys. Continous jetty. Boxed wood eaves cornice. Hipped roof. 3 brick ridge stacks, one to centre, and one towards either end. Irregular fenestration of four C20 three-light metal casements. Boarded doors under simple open plain-tiled lean-to to no.1 to right of centre and to no.2 to left of centre. Rear lean-to part weather- boarded, part red brick in Flemish bond. Interior not inspected.
