The following text is from the original listed building designation:
CHART SUTTON ASHURST COURT TQ 74 NE ROAD (south side) 4/22 Oasthouse range about 17 metres east-north-east of Ashurst Court GV II
Oasthouse with granary and stable block attached. Early C19 with early-to-mid C19 additions. Kilns and ground floor of stowage red brick with occasional grey headers. Ground floor of north-west projection and both floors of granary/stable block chequered red and grey brick. South-west projection red brick in Flemish bond. First floor of stowage and north- west projection weatherboarded and tile-hung. Stone plinth to all but kilns. Plain tile roofs. Stowage, with 2 conjoined circular kilns at north end and slightly wider granary and stable block to south end with short bay added to west. Broader projecting bay to west at north end of stowage. Cogged brick eaves cornices, conical roofs and cowls to kilns. Half-hipped roof to north-west projection and to granary, hipped roof to south-west addition. 2-light first-floor casement to north-west projection and 16-pane light to south- west. Blocked ventilation slits to east side of stables. Boarded first-floor door to gable end of granary, and to east side of stowage. Boarded ground-floor door to stables and 2 to east side of stowage. Interior not inspected.
