The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SUTTON VALENCE BROAD STREET TQ 8049-8149 (south side) 7/117 Barn about 5 metres south of Valence House GV II
Barn or semi-industrial building. Probably early C17 or earlier. Ground floor galletted stone. First floor timber framed, west of elevation cement-rendered, south gable end tile-hung. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on galletted stone plinth. Hipped roof. East elevation has 3 wood mullion windows with close-set diamond mullions. North end bay added or rebuilt. Single-storey double doors to centre to east. Interior not inspected. Originally built on corner of Malthouse Lane and Rectory Lane and now in grounds of Valence House.
