Listed Grade 2, C17 or earlier, with EC19 alterations. Timber-framed, rendered, 2 storeys on rendered plinth, with hipped roof(plain tile). Porch with flat corniced roof. MO associated buildings.

1/270 Home Farm Cottage (previously listed as 26.4.68. The White House) GV II Farmhouse. C17 or earlier with early C19 alterations. Timber- framed, rendered. First floor of left gable end clad with thick bands of plain and fishscale tiles, continuing along rear wing. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on rendered plinth, with hipped roof. Rear red brick stack to left. Irregular fenestration of 3 glazing-bar sashes. Central panelled door with 3-light rectangular fanlight and early C19 fluted architrave. Porch with flat corniced hood on square fluted columns with paterae. Rear return wing to left. Interior not inspected.

In 1993 a historic landscapes took place at Wormshill Estate conducted by Nicola Bannister. Very little is known about Home or Street Farm and its early history. It appears to originate as part of the Manor at Wormshill.

The original house was at right angles to the road and faced the farm yard. Early 19th century extensions faced the road and created a new front. Internal posts and beams are stop chamfered and there is a decorated bracket between post and beam. Some partitions are timber framed with wattle and daub infill. There is a small basement under the extension. (2)
