At TQ 83465075 upon nearby level ground, is a low circular mound, 18.0m in diameter, 0.4m high. It is composed of a light brown clay with much sandstone, contrasting with the darker loamy soil of the field. There are no indications of a surrounding ditch. The feature is regarded locally as a barrow. The owner of Netherfold Farm, Mr Jenner, states that it has been ploughed over but is otherwise undisturbed. (1) The site of this alleged barrow lies in an undulating arable field at presend under a standing crop. There are no surface indications and the present farmer was not aware of its existance. Nothing visible on OS AP 83.004.137. (2)
