The following text is from the original listed building designation:
SUTTON VALENCE BROAD STREET TQ 8049-8149 (north side) Linden House 7/109 (formerly listed as The Limes) 26.4.68 GV II
House, formerly house and shop, now house. Early C18 with mid C19 alterations. Possibly timber-framed. Front elevation red and grey brick with red brick dressings. Left gable end tile-hung on both floors. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attics on brick plinth with stone base. Left half of ground floor formerly shop window; rebuilt since 1956. Plat band. Moulded wooden eaves cornice, breaking forward over windows. Roof half-hipped to left. Rear stack to right. 2 flat-roofed dormers. Regular 5-window front of C19 glazing-bar sashes in open boxes. Ground floor windows have segmental heads and keystones. Central door of 4 fielded panels with 2 top lights, in deep eared architrave with pulvinated frieze and projecting moulded cornice. Interior not inspected. Marked on OS map as White House.
