HEADCORN GRIGG LANE TQ 84 SE (South side) 8/50 Barn about 8 metres north-west of Grigg Farmhouse

Barn. C16 or C17. Timber framed. Exposed framing, with lath and daub infilling above midrail and broad oak plank weatherboarding to inside of barn below midrail. Each bay has two long ogee tension braces halved across external face of midrail, and two arch-braces from central post of each bay to wall-plate. Hipped plain-tiled roof with gablets. Central entry. Interior: 3 timber-framed bays. Jowled arch-braced principal posts. Common rafter roof with lapped collars.
