The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ULCOMBE EASTWOOD TQ 84 NE 6/183 Eastwood House 26.4.68 II
House. C16 or earlier. Timber framed with lath and plaster infilling. Right gable end clad with red brick on ground floor, tile-hung on first floor. Plain tile roof. 4 timber-framed bays; possibly open hall of 2 unequal-length bays with storeyed bay at either end. 2 storeys. Hipped roof. Left gable end jettied. Broadly spaced studding. Tension braces to each end bay and to both floors of left gable end. Shorter right bay of hall appears subdivided by broad full-height post. Multiple brick stack in rear slope of roof to right end of hall. Irregular fenestration of 4 leaded wooden mullion windows; one 2-light to left end bay, one a 5-light through dormer in left bay of hall, one 2-light beneath stack and one 3-light to right end bay. Ribbed door in left sub-division of right hall bay. Rear lean-to. Interior not inspected.
