The following text is from the original listed building designation:
YALDING HIGH STREET TQ 6950 (east side) 6/128 Walter Forknell and Coates (formerly listed, under High 23-5-67 Street, North Arm, as R. Coates, Grocer and Draper, with the house attached. GV II
House, now shop. Late C17 or early C18. Chequered red and grey brick. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys and attic on rendered plinth. Plat band to right gable end. Coved plastered eaves cornice. Roof half-hipped to right and continuous with Interphil House to left. Projecting red and grey brick stack to rear. Two hipped two-light dormers. Regular 4-window front of two six-pane sashes and two painted dummy sashes. Half-glazed door to right gable end. Interior not inspected. Brickwork extends short distance into Interphil House to left (q.v.)
