Full Description

[TQ 835 532] Watermill. Only the walls are left of the 13th century Castle Mill, whose breast shot wheel was fed from the castle moat. The remains of a pair of stones, probably 19th century, are in the bottom of the wheel pit. (1) [TQ 8352 5319] The overgrown remains of the mill (incorporated into the Outer Barbican of the castle) are at present being refurbished; scaffolding now encases the ruined walls.
