The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER ST MARGARET'S STREET TQ 7468 SW 9/244 Group of Four Tomb Chests immediately east of St Margaret's Church GV II Four tomb chests. Early and mid. C19. Limestone, with brick cores. One to George Belson (1853) another to Thomas Manly and his wife (1802), generally heavily overgrown, the inscriptions indecipherable. Varied, all with moulded caps and plinths, with inscription panels; one with swags flanking inscription panels supports a smaller chest with inclined sides.
