The following text is from the original listed building designation:
STROOD NORTH STREET TQ 7369 SE 6/284 Nos 12 & 14 23.8.74 GV II Pair of houses, converted to shops and now derelict. C18. Flemish bond brick (painted); Kent tile roof and ridge stacks. 2 storeys with attick. Front: irregular 4-window range. 2 hipped dormers, one with 2-light casement, the other without frame or casement. 1st floor with horned sash windows. Ground floor has c.1900 shop fronts with off-centre doors, fascia with friezes and console brackets. Interior not accessible.
