(1) An Anglo-Saxon inhumation, accompanied by a long iron sword, a spear-head and other objects, found along the edge of a former road from Newington to Lower Halstow, which could still be seen near the National Schools. (2) (TQ 85716643) Anglo-Saxon Burial found (NAT) (3) The general area of this Burial is an arable field. The farmer could add no further information and there is no record of subsequent finds.
