The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7468 NW 7/117 Nos 59, 61 and 63 GV II Two shops with living accommodation above. Mid C19. Red brick with some fine pointing; stone dressings; Kent tile roof runs parallel to street with 2 gabled dormers; Brick stacks. 2 rear wings, one fronting Northgate. Front: 3 storeys; regular 5- window range. Prominent moulded cornice and stucco quoining. All windows to upper floors with plate glass 4-pane horned sashes, and set in heavy stone (or stucco) moulded surrounds, those to 2nd floor lugged with keystones, sills with brackets. 2 shopfronts, early C20 with large fascias and console brackets and plateglass windows; that to Nos 59-61 returns along Northgate. Northgate elevation quite plain with horned sash windows.
