The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7468 NW 7/52 No 32 23.8.74 GV II House, now a shop with accommodation above. C18 remodelling of an earlier building. Set end-on to street, with lateral stairs. Weatherboarded on timber frame; Kent clay tile roof, hipped towards the street. 3 storeys; 3 window range. Late-C19 shop front with 2 fluted pilasters. 12-pane horned sash windows to 1st floor, 9-pane hornless sash windows to 2nd floor. Dentilled eaves cornice. Interior: fragment of C17 turned baluster staircase from 1st to 2nd floor only. Roof: one arch brace truss visible.
