Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER HIGH STREET TQ 7468 SW 9/67 No 88 24.2.71 GV II Former house, now a shop. Cl7 with C18 front. Timber framed with brick front; Kent-tiled roof end-on to street, hipped to rear with central valley. 2 storeys. Front: 2 window range. Parapet with stone coping and cornice band. 12-pane hornless sash windows with stone sills to 1st floor. Elaborate shop front, probably late C19, with 2 bowed bays flanking entrance all deeply recessed under moulded cornice, each bay of 3 round-headed lights with coloured glass to top lights, posts with decorated spandrels. Interior contains a diagonally set brick fireplace with plain wooden surround to 1st floor, and some late C18 cupboards, possibly not in situ.
