The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER HIGH STREET (St TQ 7468 SE Margaret's Banks) 10/90 No 252 24.10.50 GV II House. Circa 1700 with late C19 alterations. Brick in Flemish bond (red stretchers, black headers); Kent-tile gable end roof with stone coping and end stacks. Separately gabled range to rear gives double-depth plan overall. 2 storeys and attic. Front: symmetrical 5-window range. 5 flat-roofed dormers with 6-pane sashes. Bracketted wooden cornice with console brackets. 12-pane hornless sashes with flush frames under flat window arches to 1st floor. Ground floor has a pair of canted bays with plate-glass horned sashes under a moulded cornice and entablature that runs across to form a central porch with 2 Tuscan Doric columns. Late C20 glazed door. Interior: 2 tiers of fielded panelling to hall; staircase, the balusters boxed in.
