COOLING CP TQ 77 NE 2/25                                               Barn 30 yards north-east of                                               Cooling Castle Gatehouse GV                                            II
Barn.   C16 with C19 extension to north.   Timber-framed on brick walls and weatherboarded.   Hipped plain tiled roof.   Central mid-strey.  C19 extension to north at east end.   Interior:  9 bays with aisles.   Roof on braced tie- beams with queen-struts to collars.  Posts down-braced onto wall-plates. Elaborate carpentry carrying roof over angle between barn and C19 extension. Hay-crane on swinging-post to right of mid-strey.

"The L-shaped range of outbuildings, now in separate ownership, include a large timber framed barn (grade II) dating from the 17th century and the 19th century". (2)
