The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER PRIESTFIELDS TQ 76 NW 2/206 Foord Almshouses Nos 48-64 24-10-50 GV II* Almshouses 1932. E Guy Dawber architect, G E Walls and Sons, builders. English bond red brick, stone dressings, old tile roof. Neo-vernacular style of C17, with Baroque reference. 2 storeys and single storey, 'U' plan courtyard. 2 storey axial centrepiece, single storey canted wings in north range, east and west 2 storey returns. 4 window centre with 3 and 4 light stone casements with leaded lights. Central round arched entrance in recessed bay with plaque and date 1932, Dutch gabled roof, hipped end gables with 2 stacks. Single storey wings have 2 and 6-light casements, double doors with leaded lights. Steeply pitched roof with 4 stacks. 2 storey returns have gabled oriels to south, 2 storey bay window to inward facing returns, hipped roofs with stacks. Statue in centre of court by Ernest Gillik of Flora (?) formerly the apex to Cupola in main court (Foord Almshouses Nos 1-47 (qv).
