The following text is from the original listed building designation:
ROCHESTER ST MARGARET'S STREET TQ 7468 SW 9/236 Wall extending 15 metres north-east from the front entrance to No 58 GV II Garden wall. Probably circa 1800. Red brick with plinth and coping and including one partially rebuilt square-section pier. Included for group value.
