The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HALSTEAD HALSTEAD 1. 5280 Otford Lane (East Side) ) Stable buildings to North-west of Rose and Crown Public House, and wall abutting TQ 4861 14/500 II 2. Early-mid Cl9. One building of one storey and attic. Slated roof of moderately low pitch. Flint walls with alternating block red brick dressings. Double door at left and single at right, casement window between. Loading door under gable breaking eaves. 2nd one-storey weatherboarded building, with similar roof, on left. Short length of wall, flint rubble with sloped and chamfered red brick coping, from North-west corner of 2nd building to road. Graded for group value with "Rose and Crown."
