The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 BRASTED BRASTED High Street (South Side) Rectory Lodge TQ 4755 2/53 10.9.54.
II GV
2. Early C18. 2 storeys, 5 windows. High pitched, swept roof hipped at right. Renewed in machine tile with 3 large modern dormers. Blue brick with red brick window dressings, quoins, band and plinth. Gauged brick arches to C19 sash windows in C18 exposed frames. 6 stone steps to 6-panel door in moulded frame with fanlight. Doorcase of half-columns supporting entablatures with fluted frieze, and open pedimented hood.
The White House and Rectory Lodge form a group.
