1. 5280 CHEVENING BESSELS GREEN (East side) Southdown Cottage TQ 5055 5/167 10.9.54.

2. Early cl8 front of 2 storeys, 2 windows. 2 tiled gable ends of different width. Tiled roof. Painted brick lst floor. Coursed rubble ground floor with red brick dressings. Modern square paned casements under shallow segmental brick arches. Centre glazed double doors in moulded frame. Later projecting porch, with panelled soffit, supported on thin columns with entablature and modillioned cornice.
The Post Office, Nos 1 to 9 (consec) (Park Place Cottages) Glencot, Yew Tree Cottage and Tanners Cottage, Southdown house, its garden wall and Southdown Cottage form a group.
