The following text is from the original listed building designation:
1. 5280 CHIDDINGSTONE COLDHARBOUR ROAD Prinkham TQ 44 SE 53/186 10.9.54.
II*
2. Early C17 additions to building of C15 or early C16, part of a small hall. Entrance front shows square framed left part under cross gable and close studded right part. Oversailing 1st floor with finely carved corner brackets and vertical ½ timbering above. Oversailing gable end supported on carved brackets with pendants. Moulded barge boards. 2 storeys and gable end attic window. Leaded casement windows. Ground floor bay window and 1st floor window above with moulded mullions and transoms. Ridge tile roof with one end hipped and centre ridge stack. Inside heavy beamsand large stone inglenook; and 3 crown posts, tle central one octagonal.(1)
