Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1614 (East Side) Nos 14 and 16 TQ 5354/1/7 13.4.51 II GV 2. Pair of early C19 terrace houses. Yellow brick elevation of 3 storeys. Ground floor with 2 sash windows and door at either end. First and second floors with 2 sash windows each. Small extra sash window on third floor to right. Two basement windows with areas in front and railings bordering the street. Projecting eaves and gutter, with boarded soffit with small coupled brackets. Hipped slate roof with centre brick stack. Sash windows with flat stucco arches over and painted reveals. Panelled doors with fluted pilastered doorcases and fluted moulding around frame wtith fanlights over with tracery. Up 3 stone steps to doors. Stepped stucco dressings over fanlights.
Nos 6 to 24 (even) form a group.

In 1994 a survey on cellars in the Sevenoaks area was undertaken. 14 and 16 High Street was found to have the entire floor area taken by the cellar. (2)
