The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1614 (East Side) No. 26 TQ 5354/1/10 II 2. Late C18 house to rear of projecting Victorian shop fronts. Painted brick. Parapet with parapet band. 2 storeyes with 3 sash windows on first floor. Ridge tile roof with 3 flat-roofed leaded dormers. End ridge stacks. Ground floor with centre glazed and panelled door in fluted pilastered doorcase and on either side projecting one-storey shop fronts.

In 1994 a survey on cellars in the Sevenoaks area was undertaken. 26 and 26a High Street was found to have the entire floor area taken by the cellar. Cellars at the back of the properties. (2)
