Findspot record TQ 86 NW 28 - Roman bead rim jar, found at Nor Marsh, Gillingham
Summary
A small Roman bead rim jar with combed decoration; found in August 1971 on Nor Marsh. It appeared to have been washed out of an area to the north east known to have contained Roman burials. The grey ware jar had evidence of black burnishing and was dated to the mid first century AD.
