The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1, 1614 (West Side) No 17 TQ 5354/1/30 13.4.51 II* GV 2. With Nos 13 and 15. Originally an inn but is now divided into 3 houses, C16 or earlier framed structure, 2.1.3. facade, 2 storeys. Large centre projecting gable feature with fishscale tile-hanging on first floor. First floor of projecting gable feature over-sailing. Supporting wings on either side with plain tile hanging on first floor. Continuous ridge tile roof, half hipped to left and with ridge stack to left of centre gable. Ground floor painted brick. Plain boarded cottage door. Small square window in moulded frame to left of door. Large square paned casement to right of door. Square projecting bay to extreme right with square paned window. First-floor over-sailing with plastered soffit. Plain tile hanging on first floor with 3 sets of mullioned lattice casements. 2 small square windows either side of centre casement. Casement to left with painter wooden arched headpieces and centre moulded mullion. Nos 7 to 17 (odd) form a group Listing NGR: TQ5312654231 (1)
