The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1614 (East Side) Archway connecting to the Almshouses TQ 5354/1/1 13.4.51 II* 2. Ornamental Stone Archway to right of school courtyard with gateway leading to new school hall to rear of Almshouses. 4-centredarch with centre carved voussoir, broken dentilled entablature, dentilled racking cornice, and ornamental carved tympanum with date 1890. Rusticated stone pilasters.
Sevenoaks School grid Almshouses form a group (This does not include the modern school buildings to rear).
