Full Description

The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HIGH STREET 1. 1614 (West Side) No 103 TQ 5354/1/182 II 2. Built as a Market Hall, now converted into public lavatories. Probably C18, refaced and much altered in C19. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Faced with Roman cement, enriched with terra cotta ornamentation in the string course, frieze below the modillion cornice and in the pilasters flanking the first floor windows. Pediment over. Multi-paned windows on the first floor. The ground floor probably had an open arcaded ground floor originally, but this had been subsequently filled in with round-headed windows.
