The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HORTON KIRBY THE STREET 1. 5280 (east side) Gate piers and wall to TQ 56 NE 3/204 Kirby Hall fronting road II GV
2. Circa 1790. Two square piers about 10 ft high decorated with bands of 5 glyphs instead of the usual triglyphs. On each side there is a curved brick wall in header bond and a section of wall about 4 ft high also in header bond.
