Summary

Particular Baptist chapel built in 1770 built of brick with a tiled roof half-hipped at each end. It incorporates a small manse for the minister adjoining to the east. The broad north-east front has a symmetrical elevation of three bays with round-arched windows and the adjoining manse is of two storeys with attics.

1. 5280 CHEVENING BESSELS GREEN Bessels Green Road The Baptist Church. Manse. (Formerly listed as Vicarage) TQ 5055 5/174 10.9.54.

2. Church: Mid C18 building of painted brick with half hipped tiled roof. 1 small C19 dormer. 2 tall round-headed windows with square panes. In centre small lunette, with fancy margin lights, above projecting, slated early C19 porch with ornamental barge-boards and Gothick panelled door. Tudor arched fanlight over with Gothick tracery. Manse adjoining to right has C19 porch and French window on ground floor. Casement above under shallow segmental arch. 1 storey, 1 window right extension.
