C15 hall house with exposed ½ timbering and plaster infilling. lst floor oversailing at both side ends and supported on exposed joists and corner brackets. Steep hip tiled roof with overhanging eaves with rafters exposed and no gutter. Tudor ridge stack. Lattice casement windows and plain boarded doors. Square projecting bay window with ½ dormer above and gable end ornamented with incised pattern in plaster.

(TQ 45074449) Stanford's End (NAT) (1) 5280 EDENBRIDGE STANFORD'S END Hartfield Road Stanford's End Farmhouse (Formerly listed as Nos 79 and 80 Stanford's End) TQ 44 SE 53/395 10.9.54. II* 2. C15 hall house with exposed 1/2 timbering and plaster infilling. 1st floor oversailing at both side ends and supported on exposed joists and corner brackets. Steep hip tiled roof with overhanging eaves with rafters exposed and no gutter. Tudor ridge stack. Lattice casememt windows and plain boarded doors. (2) At Stanford's End, three medieval hipped roofed houses, the one to the south of the road delightfully grouped with a weatherboarded barn and a two roundel oasthouse. (1-4)
