The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HALSTEAD HALSTEAD 1. 5280 Station Road (East Side ) Nos 44 to 48 (even) TQ 4861 14/504 II 2. Originally one large Cl7 or earlier house. Half-hipped tiled roof with off-centre chimney. Timber framed with weatherboarded walls. 2 storeys, 3 windows in all. Various C18 and Cl9 sash windows with glazing bars, and one modern canted bay. 3 plain boarded doors, that of No 44 under modern gabled hood, the others under older flat hoods.
