The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HEVER HEVER 1. 5280 Pigdown Lane Nos 1 & 2 (Pigdown Farm Cottages) TQ 44 SE 53/544 II 2. Probably C16 timber framed house, probably a hall. 2 storeys, 4 windows, irregular. Hipped tiled roof with ridge gablets. One old compound stack at left, a later stack at right. C19 tile hung 1st floor. Red brick ground floor with dentil band and diaper of blue headers. No 1 has C16 sash windows with glazing bars. No 2 has C18 and modern leaded casements. Inside much exposed timber including original rear wall visible inside inside later additions. Blocked inglenook. Side purlin roof with wind braces.
