The following text is from the original listed building designation:
KEMSING KEMSING 5280 West End No 3 (West House) TQ 5558 16/584 II 2. House of 2 builds. Left part is probably a late mediaeval hall or part thereof. High pitched, hipped tiled roof with ridge gablet. 2 storeys window. Tile hung 1st floor, diapered brick ground floor. Main part of C18 appearance but probably concealing a C17 timber framed structure. 2 storeys and attic, 2 windows. High pitched tiled roof hipped at right with 2 hipped dormers and ridge stack with deeply rebated angles. Red brick with diagonal brick cornice, 1st floor band and galletted rubble plinth. C18 sash windows with glazing bars in flush moulded frames, those on ground floor with keystones to gauged brick arches. Ground floor right window blocked. 4-panel door under hood on curved brackets.
