Summary

Grade II listed building. A timber framed house of post medieval date which was encased in the 18th century. It is of two storeys with a high pitched, hipped tiled roof. The first floor is tile hung whilst the ground floor has been encased in brick ground floor. Windows are sashes withglazing bars in near-flush moulded frames. At some time in the mid-late 20th century (by 1974) the left return was extended at ground floor level to accommodate a restaurant.

LEIGH LEIGH 1. 5280 High Street (South Side) Orchard House TQ 5446 19/681 II 2. C18 front to older timber framed building. 2 storeys, 3 windows. High pitched, hipped tiled roof. Tile hung 1st floor, brick ground floor. Sash windows with glazing bars in near-flush moulded frames. Modern shop projects in front of 2 left ground floor bays. On right return panelled door with radial fanlight and semicircular pedimented hood on pilasters.
