The following text is from the original listed building designation:
LEIGH LEIGH 1. 5280 High street (South Side) Nos 1 & 2 (Fleur de Lis Cottages). Fleur de Lis Public House TQ 5446 19/691 II GV 2. 1855 (Date on plaque). 1-storey L-shaped range in Tudor style. 6 and 3 windows. l-storey extruded angle. High pitched tiled roof with tall fancy brick chimneys. Red brick striped with blue headers. 5 gable ends to road, half timbered with plaster filling. Stone mullioned windows with 4-centred heads to lights, some with hoodmoulds. One or 2 windows modernised. In Public House part a brick gable with stone trim. 2 doors under 4-centred brick arches, one now altered to window.
The British Legion Hall, Leigh Club, the Village hall together with their forecourt walls, Nos 1 & 2 Fleur de Lis Cottages and the Fleur de Lis Public House form a group.
