Preservation: Whole pond clearly visible on current OS/LIDAR
Pond shape: Circular/oval
Site type: Duck pond
Description: Duck pond in the centre of Otford village. Seen from 1st edition OS. This is the only Listed pond in the country - although it's the walls which are, not the water. It was spring fed and the only source of water for the village up until 1887 when standpipes were introduced and mains water in 1920s.
