2. Picturesque building dated 1867, probably by George Devey. C19 attempt to make 3 cottages look something like a Wealden house. 2 storeys and attic, 3 windows. High pitched tiled roof with fancy ridge stacks. Returned gabled end bays, slightly projecting. Recessed centre with overhanging eaves supported on arch braces. Half timbered 1st floor with plaster filling, some of it decorated. Tile hung 1st floor in end bays. Ground floor of random rubble with dressed stone quoins and window transoms and mullions. Chamfered Tudor arches to doors, one on front, one on right return.
