Brick barn to west and slightly North of Chafford Park TQ 53 NW 58/902
II* GV
2. L-shaped brick barn, very long, possibly C16. One storey and 2 dormers. High pitched tiled roof with loading door at left. 5 window openings with cambered arches, later casements. 3 chamfered brick doorways, 2 Tudor arched and one pointed arched, the later possibly modern. One ancient panelled door. High brick plinth. A likely monastic survival. Chafford Park, the front garden wall and mounting block, the brick barn and the barn to West of it form a group. Description from record TQ 53 NW 12 :
Deduced from OS 1:2500 1970 as the building at TQ 5158 3950. Brick barn to west and slightly north of Chafford Park, Grade II*, Fordcombe. L-shaped brick barn, very long, possibly 16th century. A likely monastic survival. (For full description see list.) (2) To the north west of Chafford Park (TQ 53 NW 11) a fine long range of farm buildings, 16th century brick at the top and, continuing down thehill as a weatherboarded barn, all under one roof. (3)
