Summary

Grade II listed building. Possibly a 16th century or later timber framed farmhouse with a jettied first floor. It is of two storeys with a gable-lit attic storey, the tiled roof half hipped. The first floor and the gables are tile hung whilst the ground floor has now been encased with red brick.

2. C16 cottage, 2 storeys, 2 windows, irregular. High pitched, tiled roof with symmetrical centre ridge stack. Weatherboarded. Small C19 casements. C19 gabled wood porch to plank door. Small lean-to at right. On left return and behind exposed framing with plaster filling on 1st floor. Some coursed freestone masonry on right return.
Ashurst Cottage and Mitre Cottage form a group.
