The following text is from the original listed building designation:

2. Probably C16 L-shaped range of timber framed buildings. No 41, facing road, of 2 storeys, 2 windows. High pitched tiled roof with rebuilt ridge stack. Moulded wood eaves cornice. Small gables over 1st floor windows breaking eaves. Fancy C19 tile hung 1st floor. Brick ground floor covered by 2 modern round bow windows, with glazing bars, linked by canopy over tehem and central C19 door. No 43, end on to road with long range on right return. High pitched tiled roof. Altered road front has modern bay window, with small light in gable above, in rendered 1st floor, and projecting ground floor shop front in brick and stone. Side elevation tile hung above. Exposed framing with plastered filling below.
No 37 (Old Seal House) and Nos 39 to 45 (odd) form a group.
