(5) Filston Hall a delightful but puzzling 17th century moated house, a date in the second quarter of the century seems to be indicated though it must have been tampered with later. The datestone of 1690 could even refer to reconstruction of the walls, for the bonding is all Flemish (excluding the bonding in the cellars and the attic which is English) The south wall was recased in the 20th century.
