Summary
The Church of Holy Trinity is located in Oakdale Lane in Crockham Hill, Kent. The building was constructed in 1842 by an architect unknown at the time of this record’s construction. The church is made up of local sandstone ashlar and features a clay tile roof. Gothic Revival in style, the church features perpendicular motifs in the nave and tower and has decorated ones in the chancel. The interior features decorated arches which are set behind a stone altar.The Victorian philanthropist and social reformer Octavia Hill who lived in the village is buried at the church. There are two memorials dedicated to her memory; there is a stained glass window that was created in 1995 dedicated to Hill from the Chapel Studios of King’s Langley. Another is a tomb-chest carved by Dora Abbott which is located in the north-east corner of the church and features her effigy.
